The squirrels around here chase them away; damned things are huge grey ones with short tempers if they see you with peanuts, bread or birdseed.
I take great pride in using the old .22 to get “the attention” of the red squirrels at the lake.....I thought they were “cute” but they are destructive llittle bastards AND my dear fother told me, they take great pride in biting the balls off of gray squirrels.....WELL...that was all I had to hear........and now the ravine by the lake is full of little red squirrel carcases.....(ball biting little bastards)
