ESPN NBA analyst Chris Broussard caused a lot of controversy Monday when he said the following about NBA center Jason Collins, who had announced he was gay earlier in the day: "I'm a Christian. I don't agree with homosexuality. I think it's a sin, as I think all sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is.... If you're openly living in unrepentant sin, whatever it may be ... that's walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ."

Sounds reasonable to me. Broussard is the REAL brave person, though....HE is speaking Biblical truth against the tide of cultural gutter sniping.

Broussard being black will give him some immunity to “persecution” by the ESPN thought police.

Broussard did not really take back his remark...that is why I applaud him.

He’s toast! Nothing worse in the entertainment world than believing in God and Jesus and attempting to live as a believer.

Makes one wonder why we watch them.

Controversy my assclown.

I “applaud” Broussard’s candor, opinion, and defense of Christianity.

I am no fan of Broussard since he always trashes my Lakers but I applaud him for sticking up for his beliefs. Dont let the leftist hates bring you down Chris!! The left pretends to be tolerant, but only to those they agree with, if you don’t agree with their disgusting views they try to destroy you

ESPN is fully committed to diversity and welcomes Jason Collins’ announcement.”

That commitment to diversity must be why ESPN is pressuring Chris to make all these 'clarifications'.

How long before he flat apologizes?

I cannot find a single fault with this thought and I applaud the guy.

How refreshing.

What is it about homosexuals in the 21st century? Whan this Collins clown announced his attraction to men, why didn't some reporter (I guess I assume he called some kind of press conference) say, "Indeed. Just for the record, who asked you?"

Why do homosexuals keep answering questions no adult is asking?

I think Larry Elder said it best..courage would be for an NBA player to come out as a Republican..let’s see the ESPN’s of the world defend him..other than Karl Malone I dont think there is any NBA player who has ever said they are Conservative

That there is some more “courage” then the nearly has-been (1 goal per game average) showed by “coming out” in order to preserve his career and make a name for himself

That's about as crystal clear as it gets. There is nothing to "clarify". There is nothing to apologize for. Jason Collins made a public statement, so did Chris Broussard. It's still OK to comment as a commentator, isn't it?

Nero at least gave them circuses...Obama gives US criseses. Rush spent 2 segs on him. Pointed out he’s 36 and played in 6 games out of the 80+ plus games scheduled by the NBA. If he gets AIDS the media will bury it or do a sob story .Don’t care two hoops about the game or the creep who’s trying to save his job.

As soon as he said “I am a Christian” on the air his broadcasting career ended. He will probably soon be gone. He will be called polarizing and controversial.

Jason Collins is not one of the key players on the team, or even one of the key players on the bench. I hope the truth is that he is hoping even half of the gay 1% of the country will buy his merchandise, and then he can laugh at them for being such suckers. His only hope to be noticed (as a player who fades into the background even compared with the bench on a low-performing team) was being caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl, and he chose this as approximating the more repulsive of the two.

Yes. The Law in the O.T. stated that homosexuality was a sin punishable by stoning. Paul further clarifies it as a sin in the N.T. Christ kept the WHOLE LAW perfectly in order to qualify to pay the death sentence that hung over all our heads. I’m a sinner, guilty of plenty of stuff bad as homosexuality; but I don’t want to flaunt it, continue in it and celebrate it. - Just as Paul stated, the end of such behavior is inherently death. - No matter how much Hussein Obama flaunts it and approves of it.

Even as pre-marital or adulterous sex is offensive to God, homosexual sexual activity is far worse because it violates natural law and frequently heralds the end of the good period of a society’s development, if not the actual end of civilization.
