Only way in hell a democrat winning in SC is for republicans to stay home and don’t vote. End of story. Sanford did nothing any other father would not have done. He wanted to watch the Super Bowl with his son. It was nothing. Now the GOP throws him under the Bus.

Your probably right about that. It was indeed wrong to deny him that right.

Really, abandoning his job and wife and family to meet up with his South American sweet heart is something any other father would do?

I have GOT to tell my wife and my boss this amazing news!

Sanford did a lot more than that, and it started long before the Super Bowl. Sanford betrayed his wife, his family and his state by his actions. And now he shows that he has learned nothing by repeatedly violating a restraining order and trespassing on his ex-wife's property.

If he wanted to watch the Super Bowl with his son, why not take the son to his home instead? Or maybe take him to a restaurant or pizza place that had the game on the TV? He had many options other than going into his ex-wife's home - this was just another example of him believing that the rules do not apply to him. The GOP is wise to abandon him. As a previous poster said, the GOP can regain the seat in a little over a year.

Absolutely. It would have been impossible for Sanford to pick up his son and take him to his place to watch the game. He is The Mark Sanford, he is above having to follow the orders from the courts. Who the hell do they think they are?

Funny, I don’t remember my dad running off to South America so he could bone some chick on Father’s Day. He is a scumbag who clearly doesn’t give a shit about his family.
