The rifle is a No. 4 Mk 1 Lee-Enfield rifle that's been sporterized by shortening the forearm and handguard. You can identify it from the distinctive front sight and the detachable 10-round magazines of .303 ammunition he's carrying. This model of Lee-Enfield used either a 9-inch spike or blade bayonet.
