One excuse of Big T going to Russia last year was to get a Russian passport. He got US legal permenant residency in 2008 but didn’t apply for US citizenship until last year. Here’s a timeline I’ve been working on:

Boston bombers’ timeline:

Oct. 21, 1986 – Big T born in Kalmykia, Russia. Mama Zubeidat, does not dress Islamic.
1994 – Tsarvaev family fled to Kyrgystan at beginning of Chechen war. Aunt Maret Tsarvaev states Anzor, a mechanic, was persecuted by Kyrgystan police for stealing cars so paid them bribes.
? – Family moves to mama’s hometown of Makhachkala in Russian republic of Dagestan.
March 2002 – Papa, mama and White cap seek political asylum and immigrate to US. Big T and sisters are left with Maret in Kyrgyzstan. Family gets on welfare.
July 19, 2003 – Maret brings Big T, age 16, and his two younger sisters to the US.

Before leaving Russia, he applies to replace his soon to expire passport from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan with a Russian one but returns to US before receiving it.
