A “gag” gift from “friends in Spain”? Sorry, but that’s a bad sign right there. I go to Spain a lot and I love the country, but they have a big problem as a sort of transit point for terrorist activity, and it’s not clear what the Spanish connection with the Chechens was.
There are also huge numbers of Russians (from all parts of Russian, including Chechnya), Russian mafia, and Saudis living in some parts of Spain. It was thought that some of the 9/11 attackers passed through Spain at some point and conferred with and possibly got money and instructions from someone there.
I don’t find “Terrorista #1” much of a joke at all. The only “joke” was probably that they knew they could get away with proclaiming this on the license plate.
Then you are also aware that there are cultural differences. What might be a joke to someone of a different culture may not be seen as a joke to you or me.
I’d like to see just as much ‘suspicion’, or more, toward the ever changing, contradictory stories that the OBAMA government is spoon feeding us, as there is towards these young men. I find it to be highly unusual and frankly disconcerting that conservatives are buying THIS administrations version of the story. The only reason I can think of for doing so is a deep seated fear of knowing exactly what our government is capable of. Who cares about the ‘conspiracy’ label. So what if a freeper just labeled me ‘insane’....I was called much worse when researching and trying to get the Swift Boat story out about JFKerry....I don’t really care what people call me, the truth is more important.
