I’m thinking we may be a bit past the point of fixing things through “democratic” means.

The low information voters have discovered that they can vote themselves “bread and circuses”.

Of course, they fail to see the consequences...

When we can’t pay the national debt(Obama’s plan), they will see quite well.

Wait, what? You're not grousing at Jim for "pimping his own website and/or blog"?
What is this world coming to? I'm so confused...

Absolutely right, and the sooner conservatives get a grip on that reality, the sooner we can get into ACTION and do something to stop the onrush of full-blown Communism in this country.

We're headed for some form of civil war or revolt if we don't do something soon. Waving flags and posters at peaceful Tea Party rallies, calling and emailing members of Congress, blogging, posting on forums, Facebooking - none of it is going to do a damn thing to stop the forward momentum of what's coming.

Unless folks wrap their heads around these facts, we're going to wind up with the alternative of last resort. We've got to face the stark truth that nothing except face to face confrontation is going to even begin to put the brakes on this madness. We don't need to resort to violence at this point, but we're fast running out of time in which to avoid that.

We need to take a lesson from the activists of the civil rights era. Large scale events of civil disobedience are the correct response at this time. Nothing else is going to make the Commies sit up and take notice. If we can't bring ourselves to get off the computer and do that, then we'd better get ready for armaggedon.

"I’m thinking we may be a bit past the point of fixing things through “democratic” means.",

Is your conclusion that:

  1. We can't fix it through democratic means because the democratic process is broken and elections are no longer fair?
  2. We can't fix it through democratic means because democracy itself has failed?
  3. We can't fix it through democratic means because although democracy is still our ideal, and elections remain free, the control of the press and government is too entrenched, and we can't win the battle of the minds to change it.
  4. Something else

Because if we can't fix it through democratic means, then we must replace democracy with something. And if not democracy then what? What can we replace it with that doesn't have the same flaws or worse?

I concur[whatever thatmeans, but it sounds highfluting] I do agree with you though. As far as voters and voting goes, the parasites now outnumber the producers and th gap is increasing each day in favor of the parasites. Add in a little Democrat voter fraud as necessaryand the future don’t look bright.
