STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 26 (UPI) -- Worshippers at a mosque in southern Stockholm heard Sweden's first-ever call to prayer Friday, officials said.
The Fittja mosque was built in 2007, but local police earlier this month ruled the prayer call wouldn't violate noise ordinances, The Local.se reported.
The prayer call can be conducted from three to five minutes on Friday from midday to 1 p.m.
In September, local officials voted to repeal a 1994 ban on prayer calls.

Well, now, isn’t that just the most special, suicidal, nice thing ever?!
Dumb nuts. When will non-muslims learn? Answer: never.
What brought on the surge in 1985+ ?
The call to prayer is a form of psychological warfare against non-believers and a subliminal trigger to the followers of Islam. If you have never heard it, it can be somewhat disturbing and haunting. I don’t ever want to hear that sound again if I can avoid it.
B0 described the call to prayer as one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.
It’s just the sound of Satan calling his children home.
How long will it be once a week. In a few years, it will be five times a day seven days a week.
Sad. The land of vikings of ancient lore is now a home to people waiting to be conquered without a fight.
