We call it our American government but is it really? It seems that one party—the Democrats are running everything to their benefit whether it is the immigration policy, welfare policy, environmental policy it ALL ABOUT THE DEMOCRATS! What have the Republican wusses been doing all these years? Why are all of the bureaucracies controlled by the Democrats?
Simple. Democrat appointees often convert to career civil service -- so they can't be replaced by Republican administrations -- thereby remaining in the bureaucracy indefinitely. Republican appointees can't wait to exit the government, so they can make big money in the private sector.
The civil servants below the appointive level are instinctively Democrats -- because the Democrat party is the party of big government. What's good for the government is good for them.
As a consequence, most government bureaucracies are overwhelmingly Democratic.
