There's a lot we still don't know about what happened in Boston last week. But new details that surfaced on Wednesday night reveal some key details that stand to change the timeline of the final 24 hours of the manhunt dramatically. Among other revelations, police are now saying that they don't believe Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the younger of the two brothers suspected of carrying out the attack, was armed when they opened fire on him Friday evening. In fact, authorities admit that the two brothers didn't quite have the small arsenal of weapons they thought they did — just one gun, a gun that wasn't anywhere near Dzhokhar when he was found in the boat after a shootout.

That fairly obvious from the photos on the day of the explosions. No burned up cell phone guts, just RC receiver guts and battery.

Not much. But, based on the report they bought $200 worth of fireworks containing about three pounds of extractable powder, they overpaid. A Fagor 6-qt pressure cooker is about $70 (unless you have one of the females boost it). The detonation system was made from a model-car remote (probably plus a carefully broken Christmas tree bulb).
These were not neutron bombs.
According the AQ Chef, these were not even chemical bombs. He reserves the term "chemical" for high (or "military grade") explosives, such as TNT, C4, and RDX. Rather, these were "mechanical" explosions in his classification, resulting from the deflagration of an inflammable material within a confined space.
The behavior is typical for criminals who ‘believe’ they cannot be caught...and won’t be.
This is an overall badly written article....more like they wanted to get on the bandwagon rather than report anything of signifficance.
Its funny you say “chaotic.” I am sure for the folks running away, it was pure chaos.
My wife is on the emergency response team for her urban hospital. As she watched the scene, she pointed out what everyone was doing “right.” It was simply an example of well trained professionals that they got these people to the hospitals quickly and properly prepped.
I understand and appreciate what you mean by “chaotic” situation. I am merely pointing out that all of the drills folks hear about in the conspiracy world, really do take place, and the death toll would have been significantly higher had there been true chaos amongst the medical first responders.
OK...48 hours later the police first responders were just digging the SWAT team stuff a little too much. I live about 80 miles from Watertown and the cops in our city were pestering the Emergency Response manager to let them go “help.” He just looked at them and asked, “Help do what? It seems they got plenty of people in a 20 block area to search.”
