That's a terrifyingly real possibility. I believe that Obozo wanted gun control to either succeed to use as a club against Republicans or fail in the Republican controlled House for the same reason. When it fell in the Senate he was apoplectic. I think he now wants to either win the immigration fight (for obvious demographic reasons) or else lose it in the House to again blame Republicans. I wouldn't put it past the RINOs to cave on this one. If they do conservatives are finished and so is the nation.

I should also add that some democrats could fold on immigration if they go too far with amnesty. Ideally it would then fail in the Senate (best case scenario) taking the club away from Obambi or more likely in the House (second best option). I wouldn’t hold my breath though!
