Well, when there is a vacuum, something else will fill it. I know myself, I'll be 47 in July, I'm a cynic when it comes to government, I remember Watergate as well as the ending of the Vietnam War as a kid. I did have confidence in our system during the Reagan Era but when Clinton came along, it went downhill form there and even lower today. When you have that disconnect from the powers that be as well as raging cynicism and downright distrust, factions will develop and they will end up doing their own thing. Let's put it this way, going back to the beginning here, "nature abhores a vacuum."
