One 2013 Boston Marathon runner, University of Mobile Cross Country Coach Ali Stevenson, told NBC affiliate Local 15 that he has never seen that level of security before. A veteran of other major marathons, he added Evidently, I dont believe they were just having a training exercise I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in.
We reviewed our procedures and coordinated, but did not have an exercise that day, says LTC Meriwether. We coordinate and practice with the FBI and other agencies all the time she said. Asked if her CST unit had received any intelligence concerning a heightened risk of attack, she said no, but if they knew about something they probably wouldnt have told us.

Seems The Craft is a legit combat training & security services group started by lauded sniper Chris Kyle: http://www.thecraft.com/
Makes sense for them to use such an event as a training scenario. Mingle the crowd, practice coordination, look for threats (not expecting any), look up a lot (being a group born of snipers), ready to help when S did HTF.
Fast looking mundane and innocent to me.
Innocent to me, too. Craft is populated with ‘the good guys’. There are several NGs wearing the same ‘uniform’ but they have their guard tag on their backs/packs.
Here’s an article from that morning about the National guard presence. They are sneaky;

I noticed the VERY FAST presence of soldiers removing the broken barricades so as to get to the injured people.
The soldiers had just finished a memorial hike for their fallen comrades - walked the marathon route with 40(?) lb. ruck sacks - started at 4 am or something!
You and I agree. . . .but, remember, for the tin-foil crowd, the lack of evidence PROVES how good the cover-up is.
No evidence means a stunningly effective conspiracy, don’t cha’know.
