My first impression was the “Bush’s fault” angle too, but on a more serious note, who here can actually fathom that a decade after the atrocities of 9/11 that we’d be seeing people with legs blown off in a major city, and the government actually goes out of their way to minimize it, explain it away, and use it as a convenient excuse to negatively self-introspect of our own society? Bizzaro-world doesn’t even come close.
