Your reply is interesting. My view on the last 237 years, is that the conservative ideal/idea, has never been respected. Our Constitution is against human nature, if only by the vanity of self governance. Now, we are past a tipping point. Perhaps, there is still time for recovery. Conservatives have never had a problem, lest the weak. We now live in a society/culture that has succumbed to a low variable, and it is crushing the life out of everyone. The Builders have left the room, for a time. We are in for a long rough road. I pray that civilization survives.

My view on the last 237 years, is that the conservative ideal/idea, has never been respected. Our Constitution is against human nature, if only by the vanity of self governance.

Since we're dipping our toes ever so slightly into philosophical waters here, I'll give you my take on that.

In my view, the Framers constructed our Constitution with an eye toward underscoring some fundamental concepts that were set forth in the Declaration of Independence. The phrase, "We hold these truths to be self-evident..." was a landmark point in our understanding of man's essential nature. It then naturally followed that the formal constitution of our new government should follow those lofty precepts.

The Framers, being the wizened people that they were, also recognized that men who are granted authority over other men, have a tendency to abuse that power over time. Such is the flip side of our true nature as beings. Thus, they included in our Constitution, a set of checks and balances to thwart, and hopefully prevent, such a predictable occurrence in the future.

It was even said at the time of our founding, that the Constitution was crafted for a moral people, and that it was wholly unworkable for any other. That has been proven to be true by the generations of the last 75 years or so, who in their moral degeneracy, have looked to undermine, cancel, and overturn the Constitution at every opportunity.

Fortunately, the American Experiment gave birth to a new strain of people who's genes still run strong in our population. If it were not for the truth and strength of the basic American character, this nation would have long ago succumbed to the dark forces which seek to abolish it.

I don't think there's any argument that we're living through the worst onslaught of attacks against our fundamental way of life, and yet - we still stand, daunted, but resolute in our determination to survive this scourge.

Don't let the barking moonbats deceive you. They are not winning, despite the deluge of demoralizing propaganda they're raining down on us. One of the chief reasons this website is so valuable, is that it acts as a truth filter for patriotic Americans who might otherwise be convinced to surrender to the horde. Don't buy the hype. They cannot, and will not defeat us, so long as we "bitterly cling" to what we know is right, and maintain our determination to resist their evil.
