That is $26,000??? Wow. Scotch really is the mathematician’s drink: It is logarithmic in price.

I drink Glenlivet 25 Year and it is only $350. The Reserve 25 year is $720. A Gelnfiddich 50 is $26,000! I suppose if I strike it really rich I’d have to break down and buy a bottle. The cigar choice would be the tough part.

” Does it cure cancer and add 10 years to your life when you drink it?”

Sort of. It makes you forget about the cancer and feel like a 10 year old with not a care in the world.

I have an unopened litre of 15 yr Glenfiddich but I should finish the Glenlivet before I open it, don’t want any of it to spoil. I think I’ll have one now.

I like Laphroaig, but as the price went up over the years, I also, went the special occasion route.

Dunno what makes it that $$ RC, $45 Tequila is as high as I ever went.

I suppose the question might be WTH is scotch that rare and expensive doing sitting in a liquor store?

WTH, indeed. That stuff is bottled in such small numbers that all of North America might've received a dozen bottles. Presumably it was the only such bottle that the Toronto shop received, so you'd think that they would've known not to just sit it out on the shelf.

Plus, those bottlings usually come packaged in some bulky, decorative box. It's not just another 750 ml bottle in the carton.

I used to drink scotch and bourbon (and tequila) but I find brandy more to my taste these days. It is much smoother and lacks oakiness and that particular corn flavor neither of which appeals to me anymore.

Yeah baby! Good old American burbon
works for me.

Try the Woodford Reserve 1792.

My liver rebels at the thought of 26k worth
of that elixir.

A bottle of Scotch that’s $26,000 a bottle!?!? Was it imported from Scotland via Mars? Good grief, who can afford to drink this stuff? For that kind of price, it had better be good to the last drop.

Bourbon for me too. I never liked the taste of scotch. In the movie Mr. Roberts they have to invent a bottle of scotch to replace the one Mr. Roberts gave to the port director so the ship could be sent to a shore leave port. Well, they end up making one from grain alcohol, coke, iodine and hair tonic! Yup, that’s about the way it tastes to me!
