Following the Boston Marathon bombing last Monday in which pressure cookers were used for the explosion, the cookware giant has decided to temporarily stop selling the items in their Massachusetts stores.
Williams-Sonoma, the specialty retailer of home furnishings and gourmet cookware with over 250 stores in the United States, has pulled pressure cookers from their shelves following the Boston Marathon bombing.
"It's a temporary thing out of respect," said Kent, who is the Store Manager of the Williams-Sonoma at the Natick Mall. He referred Patch to corporate for further questions. Williams-Sonoma also has a local branch at Legacy Place in Dedham.
Pressure cookers will still be available on the Williams-Sonoma website.

True but look on the bright side, two infamous left wing nutcases, Bill Maher and Bob Beckel have both said something perfectly sensible recently. If Mr. Ed, the talking horse’s rump, says something that makes sense I will know that anything is truly possible.
Well the Government is now paying for gays to have voice alterations..sooo...might be she’s been on the waiting list.
Am trying to catch up and it’s late already! Long work day...and stuff!
WOn’t likely get to C-Span update til tomorrow...trust it was entertaining...that’s about all these guys/gals do anymore.
A pressure cooker operates in home-cooking, as I understand it, because it has a lid that is unlike any other lid used on a pot or pan. It clicks into place, and is clamped down until
its job is done. A roommate o* mine once splurged and brought one home so he could make his own tahini using chickpeas.
BUT regular pressure cookers ONLY operate like anything else on your stove, with a steady HEAT SOURCE underneath them.
So I don’t understand the use o* them 4 these kinds o* terrorism, which use no heat source and contained pressure.
I think they’re used because o* the tightness o* the lid and its containment o* what’s inside: in the terrorist’s case, explosives which are detonated electronically.
