There was the aroma of senate seat pickups all over the 2012 election. Turned out to be the stench of GOP candidates pooping all over themselves and losing seats that we should have won. I'll wait until we see who the candidates are.
The establishment blew its wad in 2012, with losses everywhere. I think their credibility is shot. Palin and DeMint will have enormous influence in who gets the nominations. And even with the losses, we replaced Hutchison with Cruz, Kyle with Flake and essentially Deb Fisher replaced Lugar (the republican and democrat losses washed eachother) and Snowe and Scott Brown are gone.
In addition, senators like Paul, Cruz and Lee are in the ascendancy. Senators like McCain, Graham and Collins are no longer respected by republicans nationwide.
