I agree with the article on the points about terrorism. Bush deserves much more credit than he gets and in retrospect, his value is even more apparent. But the parts trying to justify Bush’s entitlement expansion and spending binge are ridiculous. Bush was a liberal Republican when it came to entitlements and spending, just like his father. And that completely undermined the Republican Party’s credibility on fiscal and small government issues.
