It doesn’t appear anywhere and definitely not in any “scholarly publication”. You just invented that word.

For the benefit of us rote memorizing people from India, please enlighten us as to how far did you go up your rectum to pull out that word?

I teach university level computer science. The Indian students I see are, for the most part, not very impressive. They also routinely help each other cheat.

In the end, you get what you pay for.

Agree however the H-1 Visa is not limited to just Indian nationals. As with any government program this one too can be abused.

Of the 85000 proposed visas a one tenth of one percent “abuse factor’ would admit 85 potential IED fabricators. Bet that CAIR has some unique job openings that can’t be filled from the current US work force.

That is what I’ve run into... Book smart with no ability at all for practical application.

There is no special Indian advantage.

Yeah there is. A willingness to work for considerably less than a U.S. worker.

It must be just those students and just that school. Must not be a very good school either. There is only so far you can go by cheating in a school exam. Its not like the vast majority of Indian Scientist, Doctors and Engineers have only worked their way up by cheating in exams if that’s the point you are tying to make.

Highly unlikely there are too many terrorist entering US on H-1B visa. Most come on student visa or come as refugees seeking asylum. And about Boston, those guys were partly home grown. One of them was actually a citizen if not both.

http://shariafreeusa.com/fbi-launches-investigation-of-gulen-and-his-movement/

Excerpt:

“Fethullah Gulen, dubbed “the most dangerous Islamist on planet earth,” is now under investigation by the F.B.I. for his network of charter schools throughout the country.

Gulen schools are among the nation’s largest users of the H1B visas. In 2009, the schools received government approvals for 684 visas – more than Google Inc. (440).”

Not that unlikely.
They all ready have figured out the loophole and are using it.

Sounds strangely similar to Corporation ABC who use to make their widgets in a US factory with American workers. This company’s claim-to-fame widget was still relatively inexpensive to manufacture.

BUT - Corporation ABC was being squeezed with environmental regulations, union thuggery, and an ever-increasing tax burden (or requirement to pay for healthcare for all workers...). So ABC finds a plant in Shenzhen, China where they can manufacture their widget for 10 cents a piece cheaper. Further - they can write off the costs of transporting their shipments of widgets. So even with base labor and manufacturing cots growing to be close to US costs, they are not hit with the same taxes, additional burdens of regulation and red tape, and can make 5 cents more per widget than if it was made in the US (still at a profit).

And our own government is setting this scenario up through its onerous, capricious, and burdensome laws and regulations.

Indeed - from what I have been reading - the cost of manufacturing in China have been rising steadily - and if not for compliance, unions, taxes, and other costs -China would no longer be so attractive.

Of course - the flip-side - that these companies have to be willing to turn a blind eye too - Manufacturing plant in China that is producing this company’s widgets will copy that widget and market/sell them for an even lower price - eventually even infringing on your patents and trademarks with impunity because China’s legal system doesn’t give a rip about US Patent laws (or any other nation’s for that matter).

How did we get to this point?

How did we get to this point?

By electing Democrats.

I would buy what you said... except that I haven’t seen Republicans lining up to turn it around either...

Even our friend Reagan played along with amnesty.

Yes, Democrats have historically been the Socialists...

And just what makes you think the vast majority of Indian scientists and engineers are worth a damn? What exactly are the revolutionary and innovative products coming out of India these days? Or ever? They certainly have not been engaged into turning India into a paradise on Earth. Or maybe you can tell me what I’m missing?

Whenever I hear of a country that graduates millions of engineers a year and there is little/nothing to show for it, I’m skeptical of the quality of those graduates. Who wouldn’t be?

FYI—I’ve had these same Indian students come to me and tell me how much the quality of education in India is. When they first come here, they’re blown away that actually don’t ask rote questions out of the textbook.

If they are not worth a damn then they are being hired by corporate America because they love they way Indians look?

Does innovations in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agriculture, medical science , intel multi core processor r&d qualify as innovation or do you consider only twitter, Facebook and iPhone to be innovations?

What you are missing? Pretty much everything.
