I have heard nothing to indicate that their family had money. They originally came here through asylum laws which instantly gave them food stamps and living assistance. The younger one got a scholarship. Not things monied people really need.
I haven’t heard that the younger brother was employed even part time, and I believe that the older brother was married to a Rhode Island woman who supported him. It seems that a financial incentive might have been very appealing to both brothers.
