It doesn’t matter if BP “worked hard”. The state and businesses are entitled to recover losses.

The idea that the state “suffered” revenue loss because of BP is bogus. The state OUGHT to file lawsuits against the Department of the Interior for failing to regulate according to the law (and the families of those killed should, too).

Another lawsuit should be filed against the media for creating an environment that left a blatantly false impression that the beaches of were hurt by the oil spill. The networks hyped the fear factor even though the beaches of our state were barely touched.

I am sick of the attack upon businesses when OTHER entities have as much or more responsibility than the name on the “marquee”.
