With respects, you are giving Bush credit for being unfairly stuck with problems that were in some respects were his own creation.

Not argueing the point....

I just consider anything he does now a bit moot. History will determine it, not him dissecting his own performance now.

NOT humility, it is the opposite - ARROGANCE. And it is.

Like writing about yourself in the third person on your profile page?

Arrogant like that?

Some people’s success just eats you up on the inside like nobody’s business, don’t it?

No doubt about it.

Reagan didn’t get everything done he wanted to, but the man saw evil for what it was and did his best to counter it. So did Thatcher.

As you stated, the last twelve years have been led by men who could barely perceive danger, and their responses were woefully inadequate.

Who sells Conservatism like Reagan did? And why was Reagan so wildly popular? He had America first policies and didn’t waver very much.

In those days it was the U. S. S. R., and the man brought about it’s demise.

Today it’s the Islamic hordes, and our guys can’t even see the threat, let alone address it. They don’t have to be mean about it, but there is a threat, and there are sane policies they can take to reduce the threat. They don’t.

This same modus operandi is the norm across the board. Our guys simply do not get it.

I had a great deal of respect for Thatcher, and Tony Blair did better than I thought he would. Our folks, no so much after Reagan.

Bush I, Dole, Bush II, Bush II, and McCain... now there’s some real Conservatism for ya. Bah!!!

I know, you do seem a bit slow these days.

Let’s start with the profile here on FR:

You are an arrogant prick and a shameless self promoter.

When do you think you might start pimping your book again?

Having read your posts here and seen the video of your interview
with a couple of chicks that nobody has ever heard of and
recalling your tagline when you first joined Free Republic...

I’ve got to say you are a self-important self-aggrandizing
“look at MEEE!” lout out to promote only yourself via whatever
ideology suits your target audience. Do you like apples?

“By not successfully defending your positions you are giving ground to your opponents. “

EXACTLY!! It also makes you look like your positions are indefensible, kwim? He sat there for 8 years and never disputed what the left said about him (liar/simpleton/etc.) and that really hurt him and the conservative cause.

Bush wasn’t the best potus, but the current piece of excrement potus isn’t worthy enough to shine Bush’s shoes.

You are most correct but Bush wasted what could have been one of the greatest presidencies in our History. Today he is still in the low 30’s.

It is not about him, it’s the office. He could give a rat’s rear end what the press thinks. And to tell you the truth that drives them nuts.

The MSM and the left are enamored with egotists like Clinton & B.O.

Just illustrates their intelligence.........

And you have yet to master capitalization and punctuation.

You should see if any instructions on those are available in study hall.

Item 1: yep, sometimes.

Item 2: not really, but its part of the gig, even for the bigs.

Item 3: did earlier today, so sorry you missed it. Then again, sorry you don't believe in free enterprise except for the already well established. Kind of small minded, don't you think?

Item 4: Actually, lot of folks have heard of the Politichicks, but I can post some more high profile stuff if you like. And funny, I have no idea what my original tag line was, but again, perhaps you are more obsessed with me than I am w/myself.

Item 5: No, after giving you partial or total credit for items 1-4, I must say that you are totally wrong on the last one. Have NEVER, EVER given an opinion that was not one I fully believed. But wow, for an obviously unhappy dude, you are fun to play with.

Wow.
If I had numbered those points your post might actually make sense.

Carry on, please ping me when you are promoting yourself on FR’s dime.
