How much did homeland security know about dead 'bomber?'
The Daily Mail Online ^ | April 22, 2013 | BETH STEBNER and DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Posted on 04/22/2013 5:32:35 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

The Department of Homeland Security was dragging its feet on processing Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev's U.S. citizenship after a routine background check revealed he had been questioned by the FBI in 2011.

Authorities knew the alleged bomber had a domestic violence charge on his record but the fact he had been grilled by federal agents is reportedly what threw up red flags, halting the progress of his application.

It's not clear what the 26-year-old, who was killed early Friday, was told about why his application was facing delays.

Tamerlan, 26, filed an application for citizenship six months ago but immigration officials had not yet made a decision on his case at the time of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Official reported on Friday that the F.B.I. interviewed the older Tsarnaev brother in January 2011 at the request of the Russian government, which suspected that he had ties to Chechen terrorists.

They said this decision to delay his application proved his encounter with the F.B.I. did not go unnoticed by the Department of Homeland security.

..........................

But McCaul and King said the handling of Tamerlan Tsarnaev's case looked like it was part of a pattern.

The 26-year-old 'appears to be the fifth person since September 11, 2001, to participate in terror attacks despite being under investigation by the FBI,' the pair said in a joint letter.

They named the others as Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S.-born cleric and leader of al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen who was killed in a U.S. drone strike; David Headley, an American who admitted scouting targets for a 2008 Islamic militant raid on Mumbai; Carlos Bledsoe, who killed an Army private outside a military recruiting office in Arkansas in 2009; and Nidal Hasan, who is accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.

Any excuse is a good excuse to gradually impose martial law on America.

Boston was just a test case for the DHS.

A new 6-minute YouTube video by yours truly and Mark P. Ferri, about the loss of freedom in America.

This is something I heard today. Why didn't the FBI have the heads up on this guy?? Because once they hold an investigation and pick up nothing, they can't continue.

Here's the problem and what I believe is the big lie. That this guy was on no list. Of course he was on a list. He was supposed to be deported. He went back to the home country after the investigation.

Here's what I think it's really about.

If Russia had asked us to investigate Usama Bin Laden before 9-11, we would have said "We see nothing, we hear nothing, we know nothing".

What really others me is the timing of photos they released. The media said for almost two days the authorities had a clear image of both of theses guys. It is very apparent to me they waited to release the images until after Obama came into Boston and the service was over. They took an unnecessary risk and for what? So official government officials could pretend to care? We are very lucky these two didn’t set off a few more IEDs while we were waiting for the “comforter in chief”.

IMO they didn’t release the photo’s until the crazy online detectives started labeling a ton of people as suspects. It was starting to get out of hand.

You and I both know that when this happened the older brother, if vetted correctly by the FBI, should have popped to the top of the list. The problem is the people at the Justice Dept are making sure these people are not flagged. I am not blaming the FBI I am blaming the people in charge at justice. Catherine Herridge alluded to this on Fox on Friday night her quote was “People are very cautious to advise and report on any links after what happened to many of them after Benghazi” translation no one wants to tell the truth because if you do you may find yourself working a desk in New Deli. “The Enemy is in the building”

Don't worry, the government will protect you.

The police and state paramilitary apparatus have it all under control.
Don't worry.

A wounded 19 year old boy was surrounded by a virtual army of donut munchers all geared up with millions of dollars worth of gear including helicopters with FLIR technology, urban TANKS...
We had the local Boston Police, the University Police, Mass. State Troopers, the FBI, DHS, ATF and even the left wing media had this scared, stupid, wounded, incompetent kid totally surrounded.

Then, he just drove away.
They could not find him.
An unarmed civilian found him.

terrorist muslim kid boston keystone kops cops

Bears repeating: "He just got into a car and drove away and we cannot find him..."

bs friggin incompetent army 19 year dopey kid surrounded drove
bs friggin incompetent army 19 year dopey kid surrounded drove
bs friggin incompetent army 19 year dopey kid surrounded drove

"Which way did he go, which way did he go?"

But have no fear, the FBI is involved...

I would like to know why that vaunted LE/FBI facial recognition software didn’t work on those Lord&Taylor videos that we know they had right after the bombing??

and why they were not publicly named until after they had killed an MIT cop???

What was everybody involved in this doing between the 5:00 broadcast and the 10:30 shooting at MIT??? Weren’t these guys identified with phone calls almost immediately — then what took them until 10:30.

and who called in to identify them after the photos were broadcast??? Did his wife call in??? his father in law??? the rugrats over at the mosque??? those L&T videos are not obscure but look just like him.

I would love to see the list of phone calls — who called and who didn’t and how quickly the 9000 Boston Strong moved on the information.

We (the people) really need to know more about the DHS watchlist. Who is or is not on it, who gets to decide, and now after the fact, how do they justify.

The fact that Tamerlan Tsarnaev had been investigated, but apparently not on the watch list (because FBI released photo asking for public help), is significant.

Somebody decided he was not worthy to be of further concern.

Can anyone verify this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LrbsUVSVl8&feature=youtu.be

Why was this particular house chosen for LE attention??? Not one of those people who came out with their hands up and at gunpoint looked anything like the Boston bomber — particularly the dog [atleast they didn’t shoot him].

You're right about the BIG thing...Why didn't they release the pictures earlier. They said it would jeopardize their investigation. That's a pile of cr**.

We know from what I heard this morning, that ALL orders about the bombing came directly from Obama.

So it was he that must have said..."Not until I see the pictures and approve what you are going to release". Why am I so certain?? Because he went to Boston before either one of them were caught so nothing would be written or recorded for "We the People".

Someone also said he gave the command for the Exception. By what authority I can't figure out.

-—— at the request of the Russian government——

You are correct. The Russians are correct. They knew that a problem existed and “a request” is a heads up to be very careful of this radicalized agent.

Since there is no war on terror, there can be no terrorist warriors. He was interviewed, believed and dismissed.
