TIME 100: Rand Paul (By Sarah Palin)
TIME ^ | Sarah Palin

Rand Paul U.S. Senator, 50 By Sarah Palin

When the Tea Party movement wanted to send a message to the Senate in 2010, it elected a clear-sighted eye doctor from the Bluegrass State. In a D.C. too often defined by the venal equivocations of a permanent political class more interested in consolidating its own power than in upholding the Constitution or defending the common good, Senator Rand Paul is a voice of reason awakening the public to what must be done to restore our prosperity and preserve the blessings of liberty for future generations. His brand of libertarian-leaning conservatism attracts young voters, and recently he inspired the nation with his Capraesque filibuster demanding basic answers about our use of drones. I sent him some caribou jerky from Alaska to help keep up his strength on the Senate floor. There’s more where that came from for this bold Senator with 20/20 vision willing to take a stand for liberty.

Palin is a former governor of Alaska

Obamacare ultimately can be reversed if the Republicans stiffen their spine, and they are more likely to do so as the misery caused by Obamacare increasingly is revealed. Once the American people are replaced by illegal aliens there will be no turning back, much as the United Kingdom has been and continues to be destroyed by the Labour Party decisions to replace the British people with immigrants from former colonies in order to keep another Margaret Thatcher from ever assuming power.

Sarah has not said anything that I know of that we must accept this gang of 8 bill. If she does, she will be on the wrong side. We need reforms but this bill. Schumer’s bill, Ack!

I try not to get into arguments here, I prefer to express my opinion and let it go at that. I have looked at Paul web site and read his views on illegals, I largely agree with him. Personally I like “secure the borders and enforce the laws”. But what are you going to do with a young child brought here 10 or 20 years ago? So I am open to finding a solution for kids that grew up in the USA once the border is secure. I hope that does not make me a traitor in your eyes. I am totally opposed to Rubios gang of 8 plan.

The plan in the Senate is not Pauls’, Paul has NOTHING to do with the gang of 8 plan.

Exactly right. Obamacare is a horrific cancer eating away at its host body of America, but there’s still an outside chance we can surgically remove it before it kills. Amnesty is an immediate and irrevocable death-sentence, making all future politics and elections entirely moot. America will exist on only in past-tense.

->The plan in the Senate is not Pauls’, Paul has NOTHING to do with the gang of 8 plan.

Then why does he need to instruct conservatives to embrace immigration reforms as they are about to bring this bill up.
Has he read the bill. Didn't the Tea Party along with Jim DeMint support his candidacy. Jim DeMint is saying this is not a good bill. Why doesn't Rand say that too. Sorry, I can't figure Rand out at times. This is one of those times.

It would be more helpful if Paul were condemning it now when his words may just help defeat it.

"Being hardnosed on this will get Hillary elected."

So you think the illegals will decide to become republicans if some republican pols support illegal amnesty? These people hate us as gringos and always will because 150 years ago we bought a chunk of land at a price set by us. They despise us and spit on us. They are not interested in assimilating and becoming Americans -- they literally want to bring Mexico here and "reclaim" what they consider to be part of the homeland.

They are not ripe to fall in with us because of their "family values." That is a total myth and I'm sick of it. They deal in drugs, reproduce like mice outside of wedlock, and collect every benefit they can while spreading 3rd world diseases. And laugh at us. They won't speak English and they refuse to be Americans.

So, we will not beat the party of free shit by being the party of slightly less free shit. Amnesty happens and we are done, kaput, finished. We probably are already, so darned if I'll squeal and wimper and try to appease them as if it will make anything better -- when all it will do is make things worse.

Paul to the best of my knowledge has said nothing about the immigration reform bill in the Senate. However he is big on enforcement first so I would guess he will oppose the gang of 8 plan.

"I hope that does not make me a traitor in your eyes."

It makes you a naive goof-up in my eyes. These 'kids' have been raised to throw down old glory and raise up Mexico's ghastly banner. They've been raised and trained by the democrat party as a generation of pro-illegal political activists. They don't want to fit in here, they want to fundementally change America into a marxist state along with the rest of the 'rat party.

Throw them out. Adios.

If we don't start winning Hispanic votes, we will never see the Presidency. Being hard nosed is going to get Hillary elected.

That sounds like not-so-subtle code for immigration 'reform', i.e., AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS to me.

Her point is:
Maybe Rand Paul is a very rare bird. As rare as hen’s teeth.

An HONEST politician. Probably one of maybe 3 in Washington.
