Anyone who considers Marco Rubio suitable for the presidency should read this piece by Rich Lowry. We would expect a president to be able, at a minimum, to hold his own in negotiations with the smartest people in the opposition party. As Lowry shows, Rubio has failed that test: ... Schumer managed to hold Rubio and win his grudging respect, while selling him a lopsided deal. Rubio traded amnesty although he refuses to call it that for an enforcement plan on paper and a commission to be named later. ... Schumers genius is to have placated Rubio not just with promises, but with new versions of old promises. Rubio touts the bills mandate for the creation of an exit-entry tracking system, a key piece of the puzzle of controlling who comes here. Congress first mandated the creation of such a system in 1996. ... Pro-amnesty advocacy groups and the business lobby will work to undermine enforcement in the courts and in Congress. ... If this is the case, then Rubio is clever enough to be president, but not principled enough that conservatives should support him in that quest. But it looks to me like Schumer simply sold Rubio a bill of goods.

Agree 100%. Rubio is nothing but a fast-talking useful idiot. And I see Paul Ryan, another “conservative” hero is coming out big time Monday in support of the invasion.
Rubio and Paul Ryan are indeed bought off by the cheap labor and diversity lobbies. We need to hit them very hard, to primary both of these fools— Lee Bright would be a great choice to take out Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, don’t know as much about Wisconsin. And call, call, call, and email and snail-mail their offices. Light up the switchboards like we did in 2006 and 2007, let them know they will suffer a severe price for betraying the law and betraying the Americans like this.
Yup....I’ve been saying since the late 80s that this massive wave of third world immigration will undo the American nation if it’s not stopped.
While I can certainly agree with that, I am so cynical of the libtards, that I believe the massive wave of third world immigration, as you so eloquently put it, is a deliberate, and calculated conspiracy by the left, to do exactly what you said, to undo the American nation. I don't think anything will stop it.
My goodness, you sound like one of those ‘Bitter Enders’ Grover Norquist warned us about...one of those loathsome
‘restrictionists, who merely think of themselves as conservatives’!
Prepare to be ‘marginalized’!!!! Grover need his amnesty, so get over yourself.
Grover vs. the Bitter Enders(Grover trying to give Rubio political cover)
[snip] Grover Norquist is known as an anti-tax crusader, but in the coming weeks he will be just as much a pro-immigration crusader, combatting what he calls the bitter enders who oppose comprehensive immigration reform. Norquist says that hes trying to counteract the effect of a handful of radio talk-show hosts who talk loudly. The bitter-enders who are still responding to radio talk-show hosts from eight years ago havent noticed that the world has shifted from underneath them, he says. The people who need cover are the guys who are still voting like they were Pat Buchanan.

[snip]”In an unlikely pairing, renowned anti-tax activist Grover Norquist stood alongside AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, the leader of the nation’s largest labor coalition. Senators from both parties yukked it up with jokes throughout the hour-long affair.
After the conference ended, Norquist predicted the Gang of Eight would succeed, arguing that opponents like Sessions and Vitter, who sunk the last immigration bill in 2007, have been marginalized.
Restrictionists, Norquist said, are people who merely “think of themselves as conservatives.”
“If you’re a Republican, you look at the business community wants it, the religious community wants it,” he told reporters. “Who is the opposition? Who in the modern Reagan Republican Party is a no?”

You would have thought that somebody would have clued him in by now. How old is he?
Ref trusting Schumer: I had the opportunity to see him speak once in a very small venue. While I genuinely despise the man and his policies and the way he comes across as such a scumbag on TV, I was really surprised by how likeable and charming (and even trustworthy!) he appears to be in person. — He was very effective in putting a “human side” to his persona and making a largely hostile group of people see him as someone who could be reasoned with. — The point being, that while one’s common sense says Schumer is a real snake, the meeting gave me an insight as to how effective he could be in convincing Rubio that he really wants to work together and do what’s right for the country. He is in the “master’s class” of playing the political game. — But give Rubio credit, if he trusted Schumer in the opening negotiation and got played, -— he got played by one of the best players on the political field. I doubt he will make the same mistake again.
“Rubio is a good, honest man.”
Why? Why do we want to give slimey politicians the benefit of the doubt? They need to earn that. Rubio hasn’t.
He lied to you and all of us. THIS is AMNESTY! It will not do what he says. He’s always been for Amnesty. He is surrounded by the most suspect operators in the GOP.
I’m sorry. Every day the idea that ‘Rubio is a good, honest man’ gets nearer to fantasy.
What an arrogant snot.
“Yes, Rubio does deserve our patience and good will. Hes young and reasonably conservative. Ted Cruz he is not, but we need a Rubio to learn the ropes and not get out foxed in the future.”

I don’t know what this article is talking about with the Schumer pulling it over Rubio. I don’t believe it. Maybe Rubio LIKES Chuckie! STranger things happen...Obama likes Rubio!
Rubio was picked by the two biggest open border hacks EVER, YEARS ago. One is his advisor who has Rubio KNOWINGLY uses SPLC talking points to destroy any opposition as HATE groups, including FREE REPUBLIC. The other is his chief of staff.
Something really UGLY is going on here. And Rubio is in it DEEP.

“Rubio and Paul Ryan are indeed bought off by the cheap labor and diversity lobbies.”
NOT a coincidence! Rubio’s chief of staff Cesar Conda was Ryans mentor.

“What an arrogant snot.”
I’m assuming you are referring to Grover Norquist.
Good night all, doing medical stuff next week. Keep up the good work, and thanks.
As I have Posted before, we have a Senate, the Deliberate Body (LOL), working on two important issues.
#1 - Turning Law Breaking Illegal Invaders into Democrat Voting Legal Citizens. I would call it Rewarding Illegal behavior.
#2 - Making Law Abiding Gun Owners overnight Felons if they refuse to comply with Tyrants attempting to steal their God Given Rights as outlined in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I call that Treason.
Tagline...
Rubio was not sold a bill of goods.
He got what he believed in.
Rubio is an amnesty guy to begin with. You can tell this because he has big pro amnesty guys on his staff.
