George Bush Says Brother Jeb Best Man For The White House [No More Bushes!]

George Bush Says Brother Jeb Best Man For The White House April 21, 2013

Since leaving office in 2009, former President George W. Bush has offered few political insights. But when it comes to his brother, Bush has a firm opinion: Jeb Bush is the best man to be president. “Yeah, he’d be the best candidate,” tells Parade Magazine in an exclusive interview published today. “I told him he ought to run, and he didn’t answer me. No, he’d be great.

“He’s got a proven track record. He was a governor of a big state. He’s very articulate. He could deliver a convention speech in Spanish. In my judgment, he’s right on the issues, [but] whether he runs or not, I have no idea.”

Bush made his remarks about his brother, former Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush, on the proverbial eve of the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, where his wife, Laura Bush once studied.

On April 25, the 43rd president will welcome President Obama, and his three living predecessors — Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Bush's father, George H. W. Bush — to the official dedication ceremony.

He and former First Lady Laura Bush offered their opinions – and thoughts – on a wide range of topics for Parade Magazine, including being grandparents, whether the U.S. is safer since Sept. 11, 2001 and the future of Iraq.

Let’s put Sheriff Joe Arapio in the White House.

I’d prefer Newt and/or Donald Trump over ANY Bush (and I was a BIG GWB supporter until 2006). In fact, I’d support Newt/Trump over most of today’s Republicans with the exception of a few such as Cruz.

Rand Paul just lost me today.

A Bush might as well be an Obama. The Bush will lead us to the same place with even the same set of totalitarians running it all. With a Bush there will be a little less high theater, more workaday socialism and less screaming Lenin and Che. But the camps and the cellars are at the end of that road, whichever side of it we travel.

“What would brother JEB bring?”

Death panels run by probate judges.

Rand is the Real Deal and will likely run.

He’s solid as a rock.

Someone who wants to actually cut government by about 40% (see his budget)

Call me when the others want that...

No more. Their time has come and gone. It is time to move on from these dynastic political families.

I thought he would make a good president, but since his attack on Arizona for attempting to enforce the law, I’ve written him off.

Actually, I was disappointed in the way he handled the Terry Schiavo situation. Arizona sealed it. If he runs for president he’ll do without my support. I have to say, I’m fast losing interest in party politics anyway; what ails us is beyond what politics can fix.

Right now the ONLY persons I would consider for the White House (one may be ineligible, sorry to say) are Allen West and Ted Cruz.

*************

Hopefully some others will emerge in the next few months. We need some solid conservatives that can reach out to independents, etc and win. What I find disheartening about West is that he got some 5,000 less votes within his CD than did Romney. Why I don’t know but we need a strong candidate this time out.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform

Furthermore, he cannot be trusted. If he were an honest man he'd had referred to it as "Amnesty" and not "immigration" reform. Immigration reform is what is hoped for by those waiting in line in their own country for a legal VISA, not something that those here without documentation should get.

I don’t doubt that 98% of FR will vote for a “Jeb” and condemn the 2% who refuse to do so.

The Hildabeast will run as more conservative and it would be a landslide for her.
