George Bush Says Brother Jeb Best Man For The White House April 21, 2013

Since leaving office in 2009, former President George W. Bush has offered few political insights. But when it comes to his brother, Bush has a firm opinion: Jeb Bush is the best man to be president. “Yeah, he’d be the best candidate,” tells Parade Magazine in an exclusive interview published today. “I told him he ought to run, and he didn’t answer me. No, he’d be great.

“He’s got a proven track record. He was a governor of a big state. He’s very articulate. He could deliver a convention speech in Spanish. In my judgment, he’s right on the issues, [but] whether he runs or not, I have no idea.”

Bush made his remarks about his brother, former Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush, on the proverbial eve of the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, where his wife, Laura Bush once studied.

On April 25, the 43rd president will welcome President Obama, and his three living predecessors — Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Bush's father, George H. W. Bush — to the official dedication ceremony.

He and former First Lady Laura Bush offered their opinions – and thoughts – on a wide range of topics for Parade Magazine, including being grandparents, whether the U.S. is safer since Sept. 11, 2001 and the future of Iraq.

Again, I think the last two elections have ended the 'lesser of two evils' view on FR so that most are not going to vote for a Jeb Bush, even against Hillary.

I think the GOP is dying a slow death, the way the Whigs did.

I guess the answer to you belief remains to be seen when a choice must be made. It takes courage to leave the Republican RINO Plantation and stand as s conservative. In the last election, many of us who refused RINOmney were called traitors, Obama supporters, etc.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I certainly hope you are right.

I'll take two nickels over a dime any day of the week.

Thanks.

If Jeb, Chrissie, or any other GOPe hand-picked “electable” squish is nominated for ‘16 (if we make it that far) I will not stay home but concentrate on local and state elections.

I think those who held their nose and voted for Romney did so with the view that he was better than Obama.

However, the details came out on the Romney campaign, and how they had no real desire to win, I believe many on FR concluded that the GOP is done.

Sure. They’ll still vote for the next RINO. Watch.

From the posts I am reading, I don't think a RINO candidate will get support.

I think Obama's reelection was the straw that broke the camels back.

Again, in the primary, everyone talks smack. In the general, they compare their little rino to the evil democrat and hold their nose and vote against the democrat.

Time will tell, but don’t be shocked when it happens.

No one that the Democrats can put up will be worse then Obama.

I think the GOP is going to be surprised when they put another RINO on how little support they are going to get from the grassroots.
