Yes, they’ve been at war with us for a very long time, but I believe our congress officially authorized a war against them and any nation that harbors them or offers aid and comfort to them shortly after the ISLAMIC ATTACK ON AMERICA on 9/11/01.

The War on Terror began on 9/11 because President Bush decided to fight back. The Muslim world had been at war with the US for a long time but we hadn't been paying attention. The War on Terror ended on 1/20/2009, when Obama was sworn in as President.

People need to be reminded frequently of what Obama said in The Audacity of Hope (whether he wrote the words himself or just signed off on them): "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Things could get ugly if other Muslims set off other IEDs in American cities...but we know that for Obama, keeping faith with the Muslims will be his first priority.
