If you want to understand the name, look up Timurlame, or Timur the Lame. I haven’t seen it mentioned, but it seems likely that is who he was named after.

I noticed it and have posted on it a couple times - Tamerlane,15th century Turkic muslim king known as "the sword of islam" due to his brutality to non muslims.
