I can remember SDS trying to get students (us) to sign up in the early 70’s.
Glad I wasn’t stupid enough to do that. Probably would not have passed my first Govt clearance check and would have lost my job decades ago.
You lucked out. In Boston all we had was cultists trying to steal away the pliable ones. At least that’s was my experience.
