Gingrich, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination last year, said Obama’s plan to allocate $100 million for mapping the human mind was a ‘very important step.’

Newt Gingrich on Tuesday lavished praise on President Barack Obama - the man whose job he may be after in 2012.

“He’s starting to get a lot of strength back,” Gingrich said of Obama in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America,.” noting his Tucson speech and hiring of Chicago powerhouse Bill Daley as the new White Hosue chief of staff.

Gingrich praises Obama’s speech.

(CNN) – Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich praised President Obama’s acceptance speech Thursday before the Nobel Committee in Oslo.

“I thought the speech was actually very good,” Gingrich told NPR’s The Takeaway. “He clearly understood that he had been given the prize prematurely, but he used it as an occasion to remind people, first of all, as he said: that there is evil in the world.”

The comments mark the second time in a month that Gingrich has given President Obama’s performance a positive nod. Following the president’s speech at West Point, Gingrich said the decision to increase troop levels in Afghanistan “took considerable courage.”

If you would open your mind, you could see that Newt was speaking of Obama’s political strength. One would have to be silly not to realize that any president would be able to gain political clout or mishandle that clout. Why lie to yourself or see it as something else. When Obama speaks as a patriotic president (which I don’t trust that act), he moves people to the notion that he could not be as radical as the opposition thinks of him. That political clout gave him more voters Imo.

You realize that this is no different that the left; moving the conversation of what Newt said which was correct to personal attacks. He has been saying this before. You’ve spent more time insulting Newt vs. understanding Obama is pro-Islamic. People as you are hurting that a truth should not be discussed that Obama is pro Islamic. Please sign up for the brain research because guys as you have got to stop tearing down what few candidates we have discussing these important issues esp. when they are right.
