Stelter Berates Fox for Daring to Report on Deadly Texas Blast, Not Obama's Angry Gun Remarks
NewsBusters ^

Brian Stelter, media reporter for the New York Times, foisted his peculiar news judgment on Fox News, weighing President Obama's petulant remarks after the defeat of his gun control plans as more newsworthy than a fire at a Texas fertilizer plant that has killed at least 12 people and injured up to 200.

Meanwhile, Kermit Gosnell goes completely unnoticed by state-

I believe that in order to work for the NYT you have to be a little bit insane.

Or just plain bat sh*t crazy.

In fact those who read it are a lot insane.

The irony is that on the night of the explosion, while everyone (including MSNBC) was going almost wall-to-wall live with the Texas explosion coverage, Fox was replaying their primetime lineup. Fox is great, but their live coverage can be very weak at times.

I did first get the news coverage about the Texas blast, on CNN. Watched CNN for a long time before it was on Fox news.

Can’t stand CNN but when there is a disaster, usually CNN is there before Fox. I have noticed this at every disaster through the years. Also, they tend to get their people actually to wherever it is before Fox.

CNN has a much larger operating budget than Foxnews. CNN can have people and cameras on scene anywhere in the world in minutes.

No, it was on CNN AFTER the blast had happened for a while. Fox didn't cover it for a long time as they stayed on Obama’s speech. I kept going back to Fox to see if they were on it yet, and would have to go back to CNN.

Someone from that small place, mayor likely, called CNN. Fox would have known about it if they didn't already know, by it going on CNN and they still didn't cover it for a long time.

Since Waco is about 2 and 1/2 hours northwest from me, I was searching for news about it.

That is what I have seen with almost every disaster wherever it is. CNN must have people in every corner of the world.
