First of all, the "Katrina fiasco" was largely a media creation stemming from their hatred of Bush. Secondly, I don't think the public expects instant arrests. It took the government about seven years to catch Eric Rudolph and several years to catch Ted Bundy and the Green River Killer. It took weeks to catch the DC snipers. So if it takes only a week or two to catch the Boston bomber(s), Obama will be praised for his brilliance. Do you seriously think the media will present it as anything but a triumph for Obama, as further sign of his brilliance, even though many of the police tools currently in place were implemented by Bush over the objections of the Obamas of the world?
