Good question, but in fact the question is flawed:

The gov’t and media are not in fact completely seperate entities, or even mostly so.

The two form a handy complex, and the real power modulates between the two gov’t and media “poles” as the situation warrants.

The real concern about this gov’t/media complex lies in it’s long-term goal, which is the elimination of incomplete gov’t, aka, “freedom”.

The government/media complex regards what you see as freedom as a VOID that it must expand into, thereby completing what it sees as it’s proper form.

Really? Where in our Constitution or in our laws do you see the media being delegated these powers?
