Five West firefighters and a policeman, I think, were fighting the fire for about 2 hours when it blew. It is thought that they were immediately killed.

They are reporting that 60 to 70 have died, and around 200 have been injured.

So sad. West is the place people stop off to get kolaches when driving between Dallas and Austin.

There is no sense that this was anything more than an accident.

They are now saying it will be much higher than the 60-70 numbers. A nursing home was also destroyed before they could evacuate.
