Two kinds of cookers ~ electric and stove top. The electric ones all pack a very sophisiticated timer! The stove top don't. The manufacturers use the same pressure vessel in all of them but outfit the handles differently.

The very long lead in article mentions BATTERY PACK and that could be used to keep the timer live ~ FORHOURS ~ so you'd look at the race schedule to find out how long to set the time for.
