If I had to guess, I would say that since most liberals are ruled by emotion instead of logic and common sense, they would be impressed by a show of emotion in their president, no matter how inappropriate. To conservatives he comes across as petulant and whiny. To liberals he comes across as “awwwwww, he really cares”.
Then I wonder what liberals would have been thinking during his two robotonic comments on Boston?
