Can you enhance the 1st pic anymore? It’s too fuzzy to correctly make out many of the components on the PCB. As an electronics tech I am very interested in seeing the electonics package used.

I’ve been designing PCB’s since ‘99, and they all look alike to me. Tough to tell what they are without much better pictures.

I’d expected to see no electronics that weren’t from a mobile phone, and that’s not mobile phone electronics. The circuit board is another level of complexity in an IED.

Interesting that a Tenergy CR123 battery is found. They’re rechargeable. They’re also not intended for use in LED flashlights that use circuitry because they have voltage spikes that can damage electronics.

Doesn't look like an iPhone or Android circuit board. Their boards are far more complicated. Example:

The green one looks the the board from a Syma S107 rc helicopter. the other one looks the board from a WL v911 rc helicopter.

I think that’s the remains of a battery back - note the black cap, transparent sleeve and leads from this site -

Just as a point of interest, the Blade CP is older and I think originally had a 72 Mhz radio. These would be unacceptably (from the bomber’s point of view) susceptible to interference and accidental detonation. All more recent transmitter/receiver combinations would be 2.4 Ghz, including literally hundreds of Chinese variations with much more secure operation. DSM, DSMX, etc., and similar with sophisticated frequency hopping, spread spectrum protocols. Bundled transmitters have very short range but upgrading to a higher power radio is straightforward. A higher power controller could have been operated from a half mile away or more.

Tenergy? Is that a common brand? Never heard of it myself.

One thing Muslims do before jihad is shave themselves completely. Are there tiny shaved-off hairs in the components
or bag?

It looks like the cable was made to Canadian 'FT2' standards

"FT2 on an electrical cord refers to the CSA (Canadian Standards Associations) test designation for wires and cables. FT2 is the minimum mandatory horizontal flame test for Flexible Cord. A burner flame is applied to a horizontal sample for five 15 second applications and must not exceed 100mm from end to end. There should also be no type of flame particles falling from the sample."

Looks like a rechargable battery from a RC pack, notice the curve plastic pieces by the battery, shrink wrap from a battery pack? Could be an RC receiver from some model.

Weird knock-off brand battery.

Probably only sold in the Middle East...

The green piece with the jagged edge on top appears to fit with the jagged edge in the second photo, part of the same circuit board upside down. From the ruler, the whole intact board would appear to have been about 4 cm by 4 cm.

If it was cellphone det wouldn’t they just use a dispoasable cell phone with a headset wire plugged into board that if the voltage passed a certaint hreshold then it would trigger it. Then set a ringtone to be very loud for a certain number and silent for the default ring tone and set the loud ring tone for a payphone or another disposable phone to prevent accidental triggering...

However you could easily by an RC copter more anonymously than a disposable cell phone.....

Its odd that they post hi-res close ups of a nail and parts of the pressure cooker but not the PCBs. there is definately printing on the second board. Not to mention any board from a mass produced toy or phone or anything would have model numbers, rev numbers and component locations printed on them.
why are they photographed from so far away???

Endless FReepathons
Do you Know Why?

There are loyal posters that donate every FReepathon. Some donate several times during every 'thon. But others never donate. Why?

1 My enemies haven't been zotted.
2 The owner doesn't support my candidate.
3 FR won't "upgrade" to "Like" buttons and blinky crap.
4 Someone else will donate.
5 My friend was zotted.
6 I lost my job and have no income.

Only one of those is a legitimate reason.

Support It Or Lose It

Tenergy isn’t a typical “eBay” cheap-o battery. I have purchased them myself from a legit battery outfit.

But not saying it couldn’t come from eBay... just not one of the more typical brands from there

They appear to me to be related to those electronic cooking timers that you can get complete with battery at any housewares department in any 5&10 store, Wal-Mart, drug stores, etc....
