Tremors in North India, 40 dead in Iran earthquake

New Delhi: Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ahmedabad reported major tremors as an earthquake of magnitude 7.6 on the Richter scale struck Iran.

The epicentre was reportedly at the Pakistan-Iran border, tremors were felt across North India, the MET department reported.

At the NDTV studio in South Delhi, studio lights and equipment shook for nearly a minute.

The quake was reportedly felt in Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan as well.

There were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property in the capital.

More details are awaited.

Too bad it didn’t shake hard enough to stop their building a Nuclear bomb.

A cave in at their underground facility would not make me sad.
