Police use semantics. I bet someone is being looked at and hard and being guarded vs being in custody is two different things.

I understand the “Person of Interest” is damaged. If so, they cops aren’t going to want him in “custody” while he’s racking up hospital bills. They can guard him, he’s not going anywhere.
Unless he has friends to bust him out.
