Makes sense. Civilization did not begin until quite awhile AFTER the last Ice Age had ended. What should really make them nervous is what will happen when the world gets COLDER.

2) A warmer world means more agriculture is possible. Putting it mildly! A significantly warmer earth will expand the agricultural areas of Canada and Siberia to an enormous extent.
