It used to be focus on patient first, now "focus on cost value" ... "standardized processes"... and you know what that means...

Ultimately they need to let the patient decide what is value of cost is. The only thing doctors need to do is educate the patent on the value of each product & service vs alternatives.

Doctors may not want to be in this position. If they don’t they could alternatively sell the whole package. Charge the patent a standard rates(Like their own insurance plan) and decide themselves what they need to figure out what’s going on. (This may be the way to go.)
Another way is to just sell their individual service and let the patent contract with whatever else they need. In other-words the doctor acts as a consultant.

Beyond solving compact medical problems among specialist I don’t see the need for doctors to collectivize, that just reduces the possibility of competition further.

Docs Told They Must Drive Health System Change >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah Right.

Since when do doctors want to give away all their professional freedom and billing power to a liberal fascist system of faulty health care and death panels?

Look what happened in Canada. Now doctors there are nothing but vicarious civil servants paid by the government, with salary caps and dictatorial guidelines on service, designed to minimize cost, and Canadian health care comprises 55% of the federal governments budget in Canada. This linmits even the size of the Canadian Armed forces to a paltry 100, 000 individuals, so that the nation cannot even preserve its sovereignty from the Russians in the North.

I am sure US doctors what the same/S

If someone else is paying your medical bills, then they are going to be more concerned with the cost than with the results.

Isn't this Emanuel doctor a relation of the Emanuel who works in Obama's administration?

This Emanuel doctor also believes that only the producers deserve the best health care which to him is between the ages of 18 and 40 something.

It seems that they are implementing more of the evil that the progressives like to tell us are the flaws of the capitalist system. This is a good example of the capitalist system being cheaper and providing people with far more than the collective system.

Paging Ayn Rand...

Obama has brilliantly succeeded in getting opponents to national health care to expend time and energy on picking apart every jot and tittle in the bill....parsing, debating, analyzing every word, every phrase, every possible or impossible danger, every negative, every red flag, any dire consequences to our future health and well-being.....threads like these being an example.

All the while, ObamaCare marches forward unopposed. I don't see any mass movement for total repeal from conservative forces or leaders. I don't see any cohesive action from Tea Partiers. I don't see tons of newspaper ads and spot commercials calling for repeal flooding the print and air media. I don't know of anyone besides myself that has written my DC representatives on the subject.

All I see is tons of energy focused on ramifications of socialized medicine and talk, talk, talk about these ramifications with and to the choir.

Obama must be laughing his derriere off watching most opposition efforts going in the wrong direction in a misdirected and ineffectual effort to derail his baby.

Effective action for repeal is what we should be discussing. It must be total.....and quick.
