We are long past the time when that will be effective.
The tea partiers in the House need to revolt against Boner’s leadership, make clear to him that he can’t govern without their support and call his bluff about him being able to destroy them.
He can’t destroy them without destroying himself—he depends on scaring them into submission.
Call his damn bluff.
boner knows hagel’s voting machines will save him in a primary?
Ideally, I’d prefer the Tea Party Caucus tell Boehner and the rest of the so called leadership to step down or they’ll leave the party and turn the whole shooting match over to Pelosi. The GOP isn’t the party of Reagan any longer and until they figure out that’s why they’re losing elections I can’t support it any longer.
I agree 100% and said as much after Obama was elected. Conservatives need to change their party affiliated and then causcus back with Republicans in order to have any chance of changing the direction in DC.
You’re correct Houghton M. Boehner exists only because Michelle Bachmann and the others in the Tea Party caucus refuse to draw a line in the sand. They have more clout than they realize, but too many of them are trying to play both sides of the fence: stick to conservative principles while appeasing the leadership in hope of a future committee or leadership position. The Tea Party caucus lost credibility when it refused to stand up the GOP-e in January when it expelled several conservative representatives from committee positions. To me, Bachmann is the biggest disappointment. She could have used the profile she gained during the Presidential primaries to take a true leadership stance in the GOP caucus to oppose Boehner’s cowardice, but she has been very muted.
