These kinds of Nork statements are largely for domestic proles’ consumption. The Norks can’t possibly believe that if they shoot a first missile towards Japan, and Japan shoots that missile down, that the shooting-down is a provocation meriting a nuclear response. Ludicrous. “How dare you defend yourself from our missiles? Now we nuke you.”

I’m increasingly of the opinion we need to focus on Regime Change in Norktown. Work at the highest levels with China, Japan, ROK and Russia on how to do it with the least casualties, how to deal with refugees and starvation/ thirst/ medical care, and set up a “Germany after WW2” split government for 20 years, then hold a plebiscite. But enough already with the Krazy Kim Klan.

“Once they consider that their protection is ensured by Obama and Kerry, I think that they will discover the need for their own nukes.”

I agree, but the Japanese constitution prohibits nuclear weapons. On the other hand, they may consider it a “living document.” In any case, I’m fairly certain the Israelis and Indians see it in their interest to assist Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. I’m expecting that Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and India and perhaps Israel will form a treaty organization to fill the power vacuum created by Obama. The US has lost much influence in the area.

Let’s say NK actually launches a missile. It takes off and goes out of control for whatever reason. Then it crashes into a Japanese city, town or village, though it was not targeted. What happens next?.........

So N. Korea sees Japan’s committment to defend itself as “provocative” and “threatening”.

Boy, sure glad our gov’t doesn’t think like that.

Unless it explodes or actually kills someone, probably nothing. The last time NK did this, a missile landed on Japanese soil and nothing came of it.

I hate to be redundant, but this all makes sense from the standpoint of Obama wanting retribution on the US.

China is behind this, and NK is their proxy. Japan and SK will go, which leaves Taiwan all by it’s lonesome.

There will be a China-Russia axis, and instead of worrying about a West/East European block, all of Europe will fall under that axis, and they’ll go without a shot.

You know what the bankrupt countries of Europe are all saying about Germany and the US right now? We planned this as a bloodless way of taking over their countries. I’m not kidding. I have a family member in Greece, and they see all of this austerity business as invasion by other means.

That Un used the word ‘unavoidable’ should have put all the news stations on a war footing, and we should be at Defcon 2 right now. Our planes should be in the air.

The thing that pissed FDR off the most was hearing that MacArthur allowed the Japanes to bomb our airfields with our planes on the deck. Oddly, two generals got fired for this, but somehow he managed not to.

Bill Clinton was seen crying and mumbling to himself over and over “Why couldn’t this have happened when I was getting a b....I mean, when I was president.”

As one former Japanese Prime Minister once said, "If Japan decides on Monday that it needs nuclear weapons, on Friday we will have them.".......

Lots of rumors that Japan was doing weaponized research at the #4 reactor in Fukushima Daiichi. That reactor had multiple strange fires and events even though no fuel was loaded at the time of the earthquake. So their program capabilities might be severely curtailed since many of their reactors are shutdown. Someone in North Korea intelligence has determined the Japanese are currently weak for some reason.

I came to that conclusion as well. China will let them go after Japan.

I don’t think they actually will let anything happen. I just believe that the DPRK believes it. (previous comment was attempting to see the view of the DPRK). I believe China needs stability and the DPRK is testing the waters.

Think about their series of threats.

First they officially declared the cease fire over with the South. Nothing happened.

Then they openly threatened us (posting pictures of US targets). Nothing happened.

Now they are threatening Japan.

I think they are seeing who they can provoke to take preemptive action for some reason. Maybe they think China won’t turn on them if they are attacked first. Of they are just seeing who may pay them off.

Right. It is sad though that he is mouthing off so much and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Yet.
