I just want all of ‘em tried and summarily-executed.

Can I be the guy on the gallows who pulls the trap door open, I want to see both GA Senators standing on it when I make the pull. I knew that both were going to betray the very same people who sent them to the D.C. to represent us when I got their deceitfully worded replies to my emails and letters.

Chambliss says he won't run for another term when this one expires in 4 years, but he may change his tune between now and then and if he does i won't vote fr him again. I'm sure that Isakson will run again, and I can hardly wait to vote for whoever his opponent may be in the primary. If he wins there I'll vote for his democrat opponent in the general election even if it causes my mind to go dark and I pass out from pain for doing so for the first time in my 75 years of life.

A pox on both their houses, will a pair of REAL American patriots please stand up and run for those offices? I can hardly believe that GA voters will send either of those two back after this stab in our collective back, but once again I underestimated what seems to be their propensity to vote by party preference alone even after being stabbed over and over by the people they elected. No one is more thoroughly opposed than I am to virtually everything the Democrats do and support, but even so I think that from time to time our side in Washington has to be taught a lesson in loyalty to the voters who sent them there, hard though it may be for us to do. I may change my mind about that when I cool down a few degrees, but right now that's how I feel about what went down in the Senate yesterday because the people who we elected to do our bidding did just the opposite.

THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE

McCluhan got it right, didn’t he? Yes this is all abot appearance, posturing, and emotion. The congress is, mostly, ignorant of all but how to get and keep power and money. Little details like what is a heat-seeking barrel shroud and why it harms children are indeed irrelevant.

If any of you want to learn something important, find out how many of your state and federal legislators are lawyers. And BTW, the main political lobby behind no-fault divorce and other destructions of family were bar associations.

Bonus points if you can name the first state governor to sign no-fault divorce into law.

Senate is a different story, though. I just wrote my two Georgia Senators about yesterday’s vote. I called both of them traitors to freedom.

Do more -- the GA Constitution, Article I, Paragraph VIII says:

Arms, right to keep and bear.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, but the General Assembly shall have power to prescribe the manner in which arms may be borne.

So it is very clear that the State's constitution prohibits the act of infringing upon the right to keep and bear arms, therefore they have no authority to commit the vote of the State of Georgia to 'yea'... because it is obvious that they cannot legitimately excercise a power which the State is prohibited from exercising; furthermore, as the act itself is violative of the 2ND the votes qualify as felonies:

18 USC § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon*, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

18 USC § 241 - Conspiracy against rights
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or

If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

* There is, of course the implied threatened use of a weapon here: what happens when one breaks a "law"?

There’s a remedy in the Declaration of Independence.

What I want to see as a bill passed and signed into law is the repeal of ALL gun control bills. I’m in the process of applying for a federal permission to own and use a sound suppressor on a .22lr pistol or rifle. The process is convoluted but if you pay the $200 to the fedzilla you can have their permission! ... Really? They have the right to require their permission for something the Constitution grants as unalienable? Disgusted, to say the least.

What's interesting is that nobody would argue with you should you declare that an Amendment could, and does, override all relevant previous provisions or amendments of the Constitution...

Then, if that is true, wouldn't the 2ND amendment override the previous (Art I, Sec 8) power to a] regulate commerce, and b] collect taxes?

Yep...well, since Susan B. Anthony stormed off on a speaking tour with the Democrat racist George Train and refused to speak against lynchings.

2013: Females cried, America died.

“Conan! What is best in life?”
“To crush your enemies — See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!”

I said “Females cried, America died”, because when females cry over the loss of 20 little kids at Newtown, the rights of 300 million Americans gets eviscerated.

Yes, I know what you were referring to — it’s still an appropriate considering that the enemy that is our own government is trying to crush us [and doing it] and seem ready and willing to capitalize upon the lamentations from Newton, to such a degree that it makes you wonder if they aren’t giddy inside about it.

We have a bunch of holes to fill in the Constitution but those as a first two would work wonders.

Mr. LEVIN - I can't wait until that rooster sucker retires.

Sturm, Ruger Mini-14 Tactical Rife M-14/20CF. (Rollseyes)

How come cops and retired cops aren't banned from these?

``(D) has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution;

Alright "NRA Joe" let's see what piece of crap you and Pat Tommey gave us.....

(2) Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of the Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act of 2013, the Secretary shall designate or establish a board that shall, upon request of a person under paragraph (1), assess whether a person cannot safely use, carry, possess, or store a firearm due to mental incompetency.

I don't like this. The Sec of Defense can take away the 2a rights of Veterans with a board? Who is on the board?

Looks like private sales at gun shows are all but banned outside of CPL holders.

C) the transfer is made between spouses, between parents or spouses of parents and their children or spouses of their children, between siblings or spouses of siblings, or between grandparents or spouses of grandparents and their grandchildren or spouses of their grandchildren, or between aunts or uncles or their spouses and their nieces or nephews or their spouses, or between first cousins, if the transferor does not know or have reasonable cause to believe that the transferee is prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm under Federal, State, or local law; or

And how do I prove that contradiction, Manchin? This is a piss poor written bill.

SEC. 142. NATIONAL COMMISSION ON MASS VIOLENCE. (a) Establishment of Commission.--There is established a commission to be known as the National Commission on Mass Violence (in this subtitle referred to as the ``Commission'') to study the availability and nature of firearms, including the means of acquiring firearms, issues relating to mental health, and all positive and negative impacts of the availability and nature of firearms on incidents of mass violence or in preventing mass violence.

Keeps this in the news.

This needs to be voted down. All of it, including Manchin/Toomey's amendment.

We need to close the police loophole. They get to carry banned weapons and don’t seem to be checked for mental competency.
