Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) on Thursday endorsed Anthony Weiner for mayor of New York City.
Anthonys a good guy in my opinion. Now, he shouldve came clean once he got busted, you know, and Im sorry he didnt do that but hes sorry he didnt do that and his [wife Huma Abedins] sorry he didnt do that, Ellison said on Current TV to host Bill Press.
Look man, nobody here is perfect. Anthony was a great congressman in my opinion, and hes dealt with his issues and everybody has issues. So Id love to see Anthony Weiner be mayor of New York. I hereby endorse him.
Weiner and Abedin, an aide to Hillary Clinton, gave a wide-ranging interviews to The New York Times Magazine, which was published Wednesday, and Weiner says hes considering a mayoral bid this year. Weiner, a former Democratic congressman from New York, resigned from Congress in 2011 following the fallout from a scandal in which he accidentally tweeted a lewd photograph of himself.
Ellison said on Current TV that while his endorsement is unsolicited, he still thinks Weiner is an awesome guy.
I heard somebody say, Weiners angry. But hes not angry hes passionate. He believes in what hes doing. he was so into making sure people got a chance to go to a doctor, Ellison told Press. He was an indispensable voice on the issue of health care. And I just you know, he and I had some disagreements on some Middle East stuff, but he was always congenial in terms of discussing it. But I like Anthony Weiner a lot. And I think his wife is an awesome person. He would do the city of New York a lot of good, I think.

But anymore...and especially in NYC...
maybe Louis Farakkan and Jane Fonda will endorse him next?
I wonder if Weiner’s long suffering wife Huma had anything to do with this endorsement?
Huma is in semi-retirment until Jan 2017 when POTUS Clinton will appoint her to a top WH “advisor” post.
Weiner is rising again.
Sponsored by
Seems that way. Guess you can’t keep a determined Weiner down.
Perhaps Snap-On Tools will want to sponsor as well.
Maybe OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony can endorse him next..I guess it takes a weiner to endorse a weiner
The sad part is this guy, John-boy Edwards, and Spitzer will all wind up in top level elected or appointed jobs.
Many fine young men dies and lost limbs to protect NYC.
Why?
He would do the city of New York a lot of good, I think.
To be fair, I have to wonder whether Weiner could do damage than Bloomberg, and even if he did, would Noo Yawkers even know the difference? If crime rises in Chicago, how would anyone tell? If more Mexicans squeeze into Los Angeles, would there still be enough food stamps to keep them in tacos? If San Francisco turns any creeper, is there something like a Richter scale for that? What comes after totally out of control?
Keith Ellison? How about al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Louis Farrakhan, PFC Bradley Manning, Cindy Sheehn and Cynthia McKinney?
Give 'em time.
Don’t forget Cong. Andre Carson (Muslim, IN)
Heroes of the Democrat Party:
Eliot Spitzer - given his own TV show on CNN
Bill Clinton - elder statesman/rock star
Ted Kennedy - lion of the Senate
John Edwards - ignored at the time, now completely forgotten and never mentioned
Anthony Weiner may not become mayor of NYC - this time - but the NY Times puff piece is the beginning of his comeback which will eventually result in high office of some kind or another.
“It’s a private matter between him and his wife. And she’s forgiven him, so we should, too.” Sound familiar?
Sick.
America desperately needs to stop politics from being a career. It ruins the country and attracts nutcases who can’t make a living any other way.
one social retard endorses other social retard. media celebrates as exciting news. collectively craps pants, while biting the big weiner.
huma already has an important position, being impaled on hillary’s bedpost.
