It seems to me that the FedGov is picking and choosing which laws to respect and enforce, thereby setting the example for all of us.

‘If you’re the president, member of congress, govt. agent, etc, the only reason why anyone should listen to what you say, is because you exercise power via the Constitution’.

‘If the Constitution doesn’t count, you don’t have any legitimate power, and should be (forcibly) removed for trying to exercise power you don’t possess’.

You’ve stated, in essence, what I’ve said about the current exercise of power.

It is power that is not given the legitimacy of being granted by the Constitution, and therefore has no legitimate authority. It is simply obeyed because they have the means to impose it on us and punish us for not complying.

In other words, it is no more legitimate than thuggery.

Oh, we’ll obey, for now, but not out of respect for their authority. They don’t have authority. They have force.
