Sen. Mark Kirk: Booze and boat parties smoothed bipartisan gun deal

Sen. Mark Kirk says the real driving force behind the gun deal that was hatched by bipartisan work was booze and boat retreats.

The Illinois Republican said to reporters that visits to the Black Tie, a yacht owned by Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, played a large role in the Democratic-Republican come-together over background checks and other legislation related to gun control, Roll Call reported.

“You guys really ought to go out to National Harbor and see the Black Tie, which has been much of the reason for much of the bipartisan cooperation around here,” he said, as quoted in Roll Call.

Frequent visitors to the luxury vessel: Democrat Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Mr. Kirk said.

Never in my life have I been so disgusted with congress. They aren’t even bothering to pretend any more. Why even bother to vote?

Like I’ve been saying, most of the Washington Republicans love the status quo, they can go to all of the parties, and get all of the perks, but don’t have to take any real responsibility for anything, it’s a regular “Life of Reilly” for them.

But in 2010, a bunch of freepers who were drinking the Kirk kool-aid told me the combine didn't exist and was insane right-wing paranoia. There's no WAY an decorated military vet and lifelong Republican like Kirk would really be an agent for the other side. Kirk only votes liberal because he HAS TO in order to get elected in Illinois' 10th Congressional District, as it is a "very liberal district" (just ignore the fact McCain did BETTER in Kirk's district than Illinois as a whole) Kirk would vote "more conservatively" once he represents "the whole state" in the U.S. Senate and "we'll have his ear"

Right guys?

>> Hey, Kirk. Unemployment back home is close to 10% <<

Kirk's Congressional District (which is the only part of Illinois he ever bothers to visit, aside from a few photo-ops at downstate landmarks) is ivy-league and has some of the wealthiest suburbs in America. Kirk's interaction with voters is limited to golf clubs and lavish resorts. He could care less how the little people live in the other 90% of the state.

And he’s all for homosexual “marriage”. How many true conservatives, fiscal and social, are in congress now and how many will actually vote that way?

I tried to warn freepers that this liberal would move LEFT in the U.S. Senate if he was elected, and he had a 10 year record in Congress of stabbing conservatives in the back after talking them into voting for him.

“.....used prostitutes to sway the Republican elite....”

Don’t know whether they used a prostitute in Kirk’s case. But if they did, it would have had to be a male prostitute...

Prostitutes are so old-school. These days why pay?

Well, understanding the breathtaking depravity found in Congress...particularly on the Rat side of the aisle...they probably have to *pay* for most of the things *they* want.

I won’t repeat the mistake of voting for him.

Absurd. He’s voted much better than Durbin. If only we had two Mark Kirks from Illinois.

Nancyboy Kirk is Dick Durbin “Light” only because Dickie is a tad chubbier. As a GOP Senator, Nancyboy is utterly useless and wrong on every issue that matters..

How deep and dark is the corruption of Washington, and how available are the most debauched enticements?

Likely more than the most cynical citizen could dream up.

Arrogant sob needs to be reminded that Nancyboy Kirk is behaving as we predicted. If he weren’t such a leftwing asswipe, Obozo could easily have gotten Nancyboy’s vote by fixing him up with Reggie Love. Of course, Obozo may want Reggie for himself alone.

If only we had two Mark Nancyboy Kirks from Illinois, they could marry one another and go on a permanent Hershey honeymoon. $$$$ is relevant only to the ruling class. You know them by their voting records on vile rump-ranging abomination posing as “marriage,” baby-killing and gun grabbing. They thrill only one another and the clueless airheads at the polo club and the Junior League.

And it is all just accepted now. I remember back in the day when we had journalists who prided themselves on turning over rocks.

I called Kirk’s local office today and let them have it. He barely won his election last time. Now he can try to do it without gun owners.

>> If only we had two Mark Nancyboy Kirks from Illinois, they could marry one another and go on a permanent Hershey honeymoon. <<

Yikes. The thought of TWO Mark Kirks from Illinois is terrifying. Mark Kirk Jr. (Bob "Dold with a D") is out of office now, and the only way you'd get ANOTHER ultra-liberal "R" from Illinois in the Senate is if Judy Barr Topinka became "transgendered", had a sex-change operation, and changed her name to Jude Barr Topinka. "He" could then "marry" Kirk and become Jude Topinka-Kirk. Agh! I think I'm going blind thinking of that!! I better not give them any ideas.

Actually, the thought of the liberal politicians getting all "bipartisan" on a yacht party makes me think of a modern day Gary Hart. I imagine Kirk, Franken, Tammy Baldwin, Joe Manchin, Patty Murray, Chuck Schumer, Bob Menendez, Carl Levin, Elizabeth Warren, Kirk's BFF Dick Durbin, etc., getting all @hit faced on booze and cocaine while Sandra Fluke does a striptease for all the depraved marxists. (Menendez would get bored and sneak in some underage junior H.S. girls though). The scary thing is that imagine probably isn't too far from reality!

Yeah but you wouldn’t know it the way the local media protect this guy from losing his small town appeal. I think this isn’t going to play well back home.

You had this one right. I never joined the Kirk bandwagon. He’s a liberal GOP through and through. He’s not fiscally or socially conservative. He’s the type we don’t need.
