Sad thing is. He probably voted democrat since he disappeared. Without even having to leave the woods!
Since when do you need Beer to survive?
Spreading the wealth as Obama call it.
Sounds like withdrawel to avoid criticsm and negative input.
We all get it, but some just deal with it differently.
Are you kidding? He wasted his life. Reminds me of Anthony Hopkins in Remains of the Day, but at least his movie character maintained a few relationships with other people.
And, you are right, he doesn’t owe “us” anything; but all of our lives belong to God. We all owe Him. He put us here to work and serve His purposes. Most of us, like this man, waste our lives on pointless pursuits. Fortunately, God still works with failed lives.
When do you not need beer to survive? :)
(Well, NOW, he'll have PLENTY of time to continue reading books and meditating...behind bars)
And, if he doesn't like what's supplied to him in prison, he can proceed to try to pilfer from his fellow inmates...and see where that gets him!
(Well, that'll change in close-quarters prison)
Is camp Mainese for cabin?
___________
ayuh.
‘round here we pronounce it “ayuht”.
We flatlanders know our ayuhs!
He says he listened to Rush on his stolen radio with stolen batteries. If he “voted” democrat it may have been against his will. I wonder if that has ever happened before.
My idea of a remote environment would be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01qnWTd3Deg The intent of my comment had a lot to do with wasted potential & a curiosity as to what would drive somebody to do something like that along with the type of family background that would allow it.
If they bother with that. You wonder if after he is examined he will be consigned to some type of mental institution. It would be a shame to see some drunk driver or drug dealer paroled to make room for this guy.
Here is a follow up story on this guy and it makes for a interesting read:

Ironic too that someone who so assiduously sought out a solitary existence should now be the focus of such intense public interest. Cannot be easy to keep a low profile and out of sight is a small town such as Albion, ME.
I recall reading, back when he was still in county jail, that he had become an object of affection for several women who sought his hand in marriage. Another reason to keep his head down and not answer the door.
